BulkSMS.com, a division of Celerity Systems (Pty) Ltd, has run an SMS gateway for more than 25 years. It connects to over 800 mobile network operators worldwide and offers a REST API, a web messenger and plug-ins for business tools.

Pricing

Prepaid credits with no contracts, bought in packages from 200 credits and valid for two years. The credits each SMS uses depend on the destination network; the pricing page has a cost estimator, and volume quotes come from sales. Incoming long numbers are paid upfront for the rental period.

How it compares to Linq

BulkSMS has no iMessage, and its RCS is limited to early adopters, so iPhone users get plain SMS. Linq sends iMessage with RCS and SMS fallback from real phone numbers for a flat fee from $260 a month with no per-message fees; BulkSMS charges per message through prepaid credits.
