Contiguity

Overview

Contiguity is a developer API for SMS, MMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, email, FaceTime Audio, OTPs and identity checks. iMessage runs on phone numbers you lease from Contiguity, with no Mac to run and no Apple Business registration. Contiguity says its SMS needs no A2P 10DLC registration or carrier vetting. Phone calling is listed as coming soon.

• Reverse OTP, where users verify their number by sending you an iMessage

Pricing

• Free: 500 SMS, 100 MMS and 1,000 emails a month on shared numbers, with a Contiguity signature
• Usage: $0.005 per SMS and $0.008 per MMS on shared numbers
• Unlimited: $19.99 a month for unlimited SMS, MMS and email on a preferred shared number
• Leased numbers: $9.99 a month, plus $40 for SMS and MMS, $70 for iMessage and $125 for FaceTime Audio

Leased numbers have no per-message fees or carrier fees.

How it compares to Linq

Both sell managed iMessage numbers with SMS fallback and flat monthly pricing: an iMessage number costs $79.99 a month at Contiguity ($119.99 with SMS), and Linq Pro starts at $260 a month. Linq documents more iMessage features, including group chats, polls, location sharing and iMessage apps. Contiguity places FaceTime Audio calls, which Linq's API does not. Both publish an MCP server. Linq reports SOC 2 Type II; no SOC 2 report was found for Contiguity.

Best for

Developers who want flat-priced iMessage, SMS and FaceTime Audio lines, plus email and OTPs, through one API.
