Dialpad

Dialpad is an AI-powered business phone and contact center platform whose API sends SMS and MMS from team numbers and pushes SMS events to webhooks.

Overview

Dialpad is an AI-powered business phone, meetings and contact center platform. Teams send SMS and MMS from the same app they call from, on personal, shared and contact center numbers. Its developer API can send texts on behalf of a user, run bulk and scheduled messages, and push sent and received SMS events to a webhook.

Key features

  • SMS and MMS send endpoint for a phone number or a Dialpad channel
  • Bulk messages to up to 50 recipients, and scheduled messages
  • SMS event subscriptions for a company, office, call center or user
  • Group texts with up to 10 people when external numbers are included
  • Shared line inboxes and an SMS opt-out list API
  • A2P 10DLC registration from the admin portal
  • AI agents for voice and digital channels, billed per conversation

Pricing

Dialpad Connect starts at $15 per user a month (Standard), with Pro at $25 and Enterprise custom. Sales plans start at $39 and contact center plans at $89 per user a month. AI agents use conversation-based credits. SMS rates are not listed.

How it compares to Linq

Dialpad texts over SMS and MMS only, with no iMessage, no RCS and no WhatsApp found in its texting docs. Linq sends iMessage, RCS and SMS for a flat fee from $260 a month, while Dialpad bills per user. Dialpad is a phone system with calling, which Linq's API does not place or answer.

Best for

Dialpad teams that want to send and track business texts from their own systems.
