IntelePeer is a US communications provider with voice, phone numbers and SMS/MMS APIs; in July 2026 it moved its AI agent business into a new company, Aqurio.

Overview

IntelePeer is a US communications company, with its docs listing an address in Dania Beach, Florida. It owns and runs its own telephony network and sells voice, phone numbers and messaging to enterprises. On 15 July 2026 IntelePeer launched Aqurio, which took over its AI products (SmartAgent, SmartEngage and SmartAnalytics) for healthcare and other regulated industries. IntelePeer says it continues to serve its CPaaS and voice customers, and its product pages now redirect to aqurio.com.

Key features

  • Messaging API to send and receive SMS on numbers enabled in the customer portal; MMS is listed as coming to the API
  • Voice services configured with your own phone system
  • SmartFlows, a workflow builder for omnichannel automation
  • SmartCommunicator for texts and calls inside Microsoft Teams
  • Through Aqurio: AI voice and SMS agents for scheduling, reminders and collections, with handoff to staff

Pricing

How it compares to Linq

IntelePeer has no iMessage and no RCS. Both offer SMS. IntelePeer runs its own voice network, while Linq's API only forwards inbound calls. Linq publishes a flat monthly price from $260 with no per-message fees.

Best for

US enterprises, especially in healthcare, that want voice and SMS from a carrier with AI agents available through Aqurio.
