LiveChat

LiveChat is live chat software for websites and apps, with an Apple Messages for Business integration on its Business and Enterprise plans.

Overview

LiveChat, from the team behind HelpDesk and ChatBot, is live chat software for websites and apps. Its marketplace app and help article (updated July 2026) connect Apple Messages for Business, so agents answer Apple users in the same LiveChat agent app. The company also sells a newer product called Text, shown on livechat.com/pricing.

Key features

  • Apple Messages entry points in Safari, Spotlight, Maps, Siri, websites and iOS apps, plus Message Suggest
  • List pickers, date and time pickers, quick replies, Apple Pay and authentication
  • Routing of Apple chats to agent groups
  • ChatBot integration for automation
  • SMS through Twilio, Messenger and WhatsApp

Pricing

LiveChat's legacy pricing page lists Starter $19, Team $49 and Business $79 per person a month, billed annually, plus Enterprise; SMS and Apple Messages for Business start on Business. The newer Text plans (Essential $19 and Growth $79 per user a month, Enterprise custom) do not list Apple Messages.

How it compares to Linq

Apple Messages for Business is Apple's business chat channel in the Messages app, not iMessage from a phone number: customers chat with a verified brand and usually start the conversation. Linq sends iMessage, RCS and SMS from real phone numbers through an API, for a flat fee from $260 a month. LiveChat charges per agent seat.

Best for

Website support teams that want Apple Messages chats in the same agent app.
