Mobile Text Alerts is a US SMS marketing and alerts platform, headquartered in New York City, that started in 2011. Its developer API sends SMS, MMS and RCS, and in a closed beta it sends iMessage from email-style Sender Identities through the same send endpoint, with fallback to SMS.
Core plans start at $36 a month billed annually for 1,000 messages and include iMessage sending and MCP access. Professional plans start at $500 a month and add onboarding and API access for custom integrations. Extra messages cost $0.04. A 14-day trial includes 50 messages and a toll-free number.
Both offer iMessage, RCS and SMS through one API with fallback to SMS. Linq's iMessage is generally available on dedicated phone numbers, with group chats, reactions and typing indicators, for a flat monthly fee. Mobile Text Alerts' iMessage is a closed beta from email-style identities that recipients must opt into first, and its plans include a message allowance with extra messages billed at $0.04.
US businesses already sending SMS campaigns or alerts that want to test iMessage and RCS on the same account.
Mobile Text Alerts supports 22 of the 77 features compared on Linq Alternatives.
