Dial is a communication API for AI agents, built by Genway. A developer, or the agent itself, can sign up and provision a US phone number through the API, CLI or MCP server. A standard number handles SMS, MMS and AI voice calls. An iMessage number adds iMessage with automatic RCS and SMS fallback, plus WhatsApp as a beta. Each iMessage number can start up to 50 new conversations a day.
Pay-as-you-go, starting with $5 of free credit and no card. A standard number costs $3 a month, US SMS is $0.02 a message, and calls cost $0.13 to $0.22 a minute. An iMessage number costs $250 a month, and its messages are free. Enterprise is custom and adds an uptime SLA.
Both sell managed iMessage numbers with RCS and SMS fallback and no per-message iMessage fees: $250 a month per number at Dial, Linq Pro from $260 a month. Linq documents more iMessage features, including adding and removing group members, message effects, iMessage apps and Find My location; Dial can only post into groups its number was added to. Dial's API places and answers AI voice calls, which Linq's API does not. Dial adds WhatsApp to the same number in beta, while Linq runs WhatsApp as a separate beta API.
Agent builders who want one self-serve number that can call, text and iMessage, set up through an API or MCP server.
Dial supports 44 of the 77 features compared on Linq Alternatives.
