autoMessage

autoMessage is a Mac menu bar app with a hosted API and MCP server that lets AI tools and CRMs read and send iMessages from your own Apple ID and number.

Overview

autoMessage is a macOS menu bar app plus a hosted REST API, web dashboard and MCP server. The app reads Messages on your own Mac and sends through Messages.app, so iMessages go out from your own Apple ID and number. It is made by Stockman Digital, LLC.

Key features

  • REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, signed webhooks and per-thread reply webhooks
  • MCP server as a hosted endpoint or an MIT-licensed npm package
  • Group chats, tapbacks, attachments, voice notes, replies, edits, unsends and read receipts sync in
  • Sending is text only, into 1:1 threads or existing groups
  • SMS and RCS through your iPhone's Text Message Forwarding
  • Pacing, burst detection, a new-conversation cap you control and STOP enforcement
  • n8n community node; HubSpot and GoHighLevel connectors listed on the plan

Pricing

Solo is $59/month for one Apple ID with every feature, no setup fee and no per-message fees, after a 14-day free trial. Enterprise is custom, with managed Mac hosting, several Apple IDs, SSO and a contract-backed SLA. You supply the Mac.

How it compares to Linq

Linq runs managed lines on its own infrastructure; autoMessage uses your existing Mac, Apple ID and number. Linq Pro starts at $260/month with a free Hobby tier; autoMessage is $59/month after a trial. Linq can send attachments, tapbacks, effects and polls and can start group chats; autoMessage sends text only and cannot start groups. Both offer an MCP server and signed webhooks, but only Linq ships SDKs and a CLI. Linq states SOC 2 Type II; autoMessage publishes a GDPR DPA and no certification.

Best for

Individuals and small teams who want AI tools, n8n flows or a CRM to read and send iMessages from the number they already use, and who can leave a Mac running.
