Commio

Overview

Commio is a US communications platform (CPaaS) based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with APIs for voice calling, SMS, MMS and RCS. thinq.com now redirects to commio.com, and the API still runs at api.thinq.com. It has no iMessage. Commio also sells its voice and messaging as a carrier inside Twilio, Plivo, SignalWire and Microsoft Teams (Bring Your Own Carrier).

Commio publishes standard US rates:

• 10DLC SMS: $0.0035 per segment outbound or inbound, MMS $0.0150
• Toll-free SMS: $0.0055 per segment
• RCS rich text: $0.0060 per message, plus setup and brand vetting fees
• Local numbers: $0.25 a month, toll-free $0.99
• Outbound voice: $0.007 a minute

Carrier surcharges are passed through at cost. Volume pricing is on request.

How it compares to Linq

Commio has no iMessage; Linq sends iMessage and falls back to RCS and SMS. Commio bills per message segment, while Linq charges a flat monthly fee (Pro from $260 a month) with no per-message fees. Commio's voice API places and receives calls; Linq's API only forwards inbound calls. Linq publishes SDKs, a CLI and an MCP server; none were found for Commio.

Best for

US platforms that want published per-message SMS, RCS and voice rates, or a second carrier behind Twilio or Microsoft Teams.
