Dexatel is a communications platform founded in 2015 and self-funded, with offices in Tallinn, Estonia and in Armenia. It sells APIs for verification, alerts, campaigns and two-way messaging over SMS, WhatsApp and Viber, plus OTP delivery over Telegram, voice, flash call, RCS and email. It does not offer iMessage.
RCS is sold for OTP and for business messaging set up with Dexatel's team, and the docs say coverage is limited.
Pay as you go per message, with no monthly fee or minimum. A US SMS costs $0.0229. Toll-free numbers cost $2 to set up and $2 a month, and short codes $1,000 to $2,000 a month. A 30-day trial with test credits needs no card.
Linq sends iMessage, RCS and SMS from real phone numbers for a flat monthly fee with no per-message charges. Dexatel has no iMessage, bills every message, and is built around SMS, WhatsApp and Viber with OTP on more channels. Linq states SOC 2 Type II; Dexatel states ISO/IEC 27001.
Teams that need global SMS, WhatsApp and Viber delivery or OTP verification with channel fallback, and do not need iMessage.
Dexatel supports 21 of the 77 features compared on Linq Alternatives.
