Esendex

Overview

Esendex is a business messaging provider founded in 2001 in Nottingham and now part of the Commify group. It runs local sites for the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia and the US, and says it serves 46,000 business customers. Its US arm, CDYNE Services LLC doing business as Esendex, sells SMS, MMS and voice APIs.

Pricing

UK plans are billed monthly: Starter from £54 for 500 messages, Growth from £143 for 2,500 and Enterprise from £468 for 10,000, each with API access and a virtual mobile number. WhatsApp, RCS and larger volumes are quoted. A 7-day free trial needs no credit card.

How it compares to Linq

Esendex has no iMessage. Both offer SMS and RCS. Esendex sells message bundles, while Linq charges a flat monthly fee from $260 with no per-message fees. Esendex adds WhatsApp, email and voice products; Linq's WhatsApp API is in beta and its API only forwards inbound calls.

Best for

UK and European businesses sending alerts, reminders and marketing by SMS and RCS with local support.
