Phonely

Phonely builds AI voice agents that answer and place business calls, with web chat and SMS sent from the agent's call flows, for small businesses up to large call centers.

Overview

Phonely (Phonely Ltd) is a voice AI platform for answering and placing business phone calls. Agents, built in a no-code editor, can also run as web chat. Texting is tied to calls: a Send SMS block sends a text before, during or after a call, and a notification block sends call summaries by email or SMS. The Pro plan lists "Conversational AI SMS", but the docs checked describe only outbound texts.

Key features

  • Inbound and outbound AI calls with warm transfers and routing
  • Send SMS block with variables and delivery status
  • Email and SMS call summaries
  • 1,000+ voices and voice cloning
  • REST API for agents and calls, plus a Web SDK for browser calls
  • SIP trunking on Enterprise
  • SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI listed on the site

Pricing

Free with 100 minutes and one number. Starter is $50 a month and Pro $150 a month, each with a bundle of minutes. Enterprise starts at 5 cents a minute and adds a HIPAA BAA.

How it compares to Linq

Phonely sends SMS only, with no iMessage and no RCS, and its texts come from voice call flows rather than a messaging API. Linq sends and receives iMessage, RCS and SMS through a REST API, but its docs say the API does not place or answer calls. Phonely bills by call minutes from $0; Linq Pro is a flat fee from $260 a month.

Best for

Businesses wanting an AI receptionist that texts confirmations and links during or after calls.
