senderZ is a messaging API in public beta, built on Cloudflare Workers, with messages sent from Apple hardware it operates. Its rule is that an iMessage line only sends to people who have messaged it first: you share a link or QR code, the customer texts in, and the conversation continues over iMessage. Anyone who has not written first gets SMS, or RCS where supported. A Self-Hosted option runs the platform on your own Cloudflare account and Apple hardware.
Every plan starts with a 14-day trial with no card. Starter costs $49 a month ($39 billed annually) with a shared number, Growth $249 ($199) with one dedicated number and Scale $749 ($599) with three. Plans meter first contacts reached over SMS, from 250 to 10,000 a month; messages to existing contacts are unlimited. Voice costs $29 to $199 a month plus $0.24 per extra minute. Self-Hosted starts around $2,000 a month.
Both route across iMessage, RCS and SMS, sign their webhooks, and offer a TypeScript SDK, an MCP server and plans without per-message fees. Linq can start iMessage conversations, supports attachments, group chats and tapbacks, and states SOC 2 Type II. senderZ sends text only today, sends iMessage only after a contact writes first, and says it is not SOC 2 attested. It starts at $39 a month against Linq's $260 Pro plan and adds an AI voice agent.
Small businesses and developers whose customers start the conversation, such as support lines and appointment flows, and who want agent tooling at a low monthly price.
senderZ supports 36 of the 77 features compared on Linq Alternatives.
