Voximplant

Voximplant is a serverless communications platform for programmable calls, SIP and voice AI agents, with SMS on supported numbers and a contact center product called Kit.

Overview

Voximplant runs a serverless communications platform where call logic is written in its VoxEngine JavaScript runtime and connects phone calls, SIP trunks, WhatsApp Business Calling and in-app voice and video. Its voice AI layer links calls to OpenAI Realtime, Gemini Live, ElevenLabs Agents, Deepgram and other models. Voximplant Kit is a separate contact center product.

Pricing

Pay as you go. In the US, numbers cost $1.50 a month plus $1.50 setup, inbound calls $0.005 a minute, outbound calls from $0.017 a minute, and SMS $0.016 per message in or out. Two-way SMS cannot be used for bulk or service messages; A2P sending is billed separately.

How it compares to Linq

Voximplant has no iMessage or RCS. It places and answers calls and runs voice AI agents, while Linq's API only forwards inbound calls. Linq charges a flat fee from $260 a month with no per-message fees; Voximplant bills per minute and per message.

Best for

Developers building voice AI agents or call flows who also need basic SMS on the same numbers.
