Clerk AI, from Clerk Chat Inc., is a platform for building AI voice and messaging agents for outbound sales and lead qualification. Agents are built in a no-code pipeline editor and run across voice, SMS, RCS for Business, WhatsApp and Apple Messages for Business, with TCPA, DNC and consent checks before each call or message. The same company sells Clerk Chat, which adds texting and calling to Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex. There is no person-to-person iMessage.
Pay as you Go is free with 100 credits, then $0.045 per credit, and covers AI voice and SMS. Startup costs $149 a month with 5,000 credits ($0.030 each) and adds RCS, WhatsApp, CRM integrations and the API. Enterprise is custom, with HIPAA and an MSA. The site does not say how many credits a call or message uses.
Linq sends iMessage from managed phone lines; Clerk AI has no person-to-person iMessage and reaches Apple users through Apple Messages for Business or RCS. Clerk AI runs AI voice calls itself, while Linq's API docs say its API does not place or answer calls. Linq bills a flat monthly fee with no per-message fees; Clerk AI bills in credits. Both report SOC 2 Type II.
Enterprises and agencies running high-volume outbound lead qualification over voice, RCS and SMS that want built-in compliance checks and a no-code agent builder.
Clerk AI supports 26 of the 77 features compared on Linq Alternatives.
