Skysay

Skysay gives AI agents phone numbers in 100+ countries with voice calls, SMS, recordings and transcripts, managed through a REST API, a hosted MCP server or a workspace.

Overview

Skysay is telephony for AI agents: phone numbers in 100+ countries, AI voice calls, SMS, recordings and transcripts, run through a REST API, a hosted MCP server or a web workspace. Agents can read SMS threads and send approved texts, but they do not answer inbound texts on their own: incoming SMS lands in the inbox and at an sms.received webhook. Sending must be enabled per number and destination, with carrier registration where required.

Key features

  • Separate sms:read and sms:send scopes, with the approver recorded on each send
  • Outbound policy that blocks telemarketing and mass outreach
  • Number search with SMS in, SMS out and business SMS flags per country
  • Import of DIDWW or DIDLogic numbers you own
  • Hosted voice agents, campaigns, recordings and transcripts
  • Signed webhooks
  • Open-source media gateway (Apache-2.0)

Pricing

Pay as you go with no platform fee; a $5 credit covers browser test calls only. Inbound SMS is free and outbound SMS starts at $0.02 a segment. US numbers start at $3 a month and hosted AI voice at $0.21 a minute.

How it compares to Linq

Skysay offers SMS only, with no iMessage and no RCS, while Linq sends iMessage, RCS and SMS. Skysay places and answers AI phone calls, which Linq's API does not. Skysay bills per segment and per minute; Linq Pro is a flat fee from $260 a month. Both offer an MCP server.

Best for

Developers giving an AI agent a phone number for calls, with supervised texting.
